Sharing my book, writing, illustrating, and publishing processes with young authors and illustrators is something that I really enjoy. Every year I schedule several school visits.

Each visit is customized to meet your expectations. A typical one includes two to three large-group assemblies, small informal “Meet the Author” sessions or lunches, classroom projects, presentations and games. The length of assemblies and presentations can be a half-hour, forty-five minutes, or an hour, depending on what works with your schedule.

Assemblies include an original illustration and story that student participation helps to create. Through this program students get a glimpse of the creative writing processes with a fun, informal, format.

As soon as a school visit date has been agreed upon, I send you a packet of information. This includes an organization checklist, display materials, and reproducible information for both parents and teachers. In, addition I send teacher’s guides to help prepare students for my visit.

My honorarium is $275 for a full-day within a 50 mile radius of Chanhassen, Minnesota. Outside of this area, travel expenses will be agreed upon before the visit.
